I am an author and an artist. I initially started writing poetry and gained a following online. My poetry was first recognized and published in 2003 and continues to appear in magazines today. Fans and friends have been asking me for years to write novels and encouraged me to write my life story. This is my new journey and endeavor. I already have a following on Facebook, where I started releasing my first novel, A Taste of A Peach Sunrise, a chapter a week. What you see here and on my Facebook page are my rough drafts of the book. It is a work in progress and I am refining the story line as I continue to seek a publisher.

 A Taste of A Peach Sunrise is a story of a journey through a dark and pained mind of a young girl who defies fate and survives what others might not. You'll tredge through her childhood in tears and find yourself wishing you could take her into your hearth so she can find comfort there. Your heart will break with hers into the early days of her adulthood as you desperately try to give her the advice she needs to avoid further heartache. You'll cringe as her story continues on in the wake of her soul bleeding out on the floor as you are helpless to find a solution to end it all. Even as her life takes a turn and starts its upward tilt, you'll skid with her as along the way she still loses her grip. In the telling of her story, you'll gain a glimpse into the world of religious fundamentalists. Prepare to be invited into the mind of someone who has been controlled and the battle that wages and the prison walls that hold her captive. It is a long journey for her to plan her escape from the tortures of her mind. Be inspired to never give up on yourself. Be motivated to be more understanding and forgiving. Allow the awakening of this kind of world, for truly such an experience is like a different world, to open your mind and heart to what you may not understand. Come to a realization of what prejudices you may harbor and free yourself from the invisible chains that bind you just as she finally breaks free. It is my desire that not only will you be more open minded from sharing my experience, but that your heart will be more open to others and their differences.
